The whiney liberal epidemic that has swept the nation was on full display during the 2017 Golden Globe Awards.

The vast hatred the liberal elites have for President-elect Trump was emphasized with a “woe is me” desperate and pouty tone.

In particular, actress Meryl Streep’s acceptance speech for her Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award was rife with delusions and astounding lack of self-awareness.

Streep underhandedly bashed Trump when she spoke the words, “You and all of us in this room really belong to the most vilified segments in American society right now. “

And then, pausing for dramatic effect as only dramatists can do, she proceeded with, “Think about it: Hollywood, foreigners and the press.”

These liberal elites are so painfully oblivious to their own hypocrisy that it’s jaw dropping.

Streep also made a swift accusation in her speech – which Trump has refuted countless times – about how he mocked a disabled reporter for The New York Times.

Even though the story was perpetuated by the liberal media and wildly taken out of context to push their own narrative and anti-Trump agenda.

Trump said of the incident:

“For the 100th time, I never ‘mocked’ a disabled reporter (would never do that) but simply showed him ‘groveling’ when he totally changed a 16 year old story that he had written in order to make me look bad.  Just more very dishonest media!”

But the hypocrisy is especially thick with Streep because back in 2003, she gave a standing ovation to a convicted child rapist.

In 1977, French-Polish film director Roman Polanski, known for Chinatown, was arrested for the rape of 13-year-old Samantha Gailey.

Polanski drugged Samantha at a party to the point of incapacitation, then proceeded to have sex with the 13-year-old girl.

Polanski pleaded his six charges down to one – unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.

But when Polanski discovered the judge had plans to sentence him to fifty years in prison, he fled the country to France and he’s been dodging justice for his crime ever since.

Of course that didn’t stop him from making movies.

In 2002, Polanski directed The Pianist starring Adrien Brody.

At the 2003 Academy Awards, Brody won Best Actor while Polanski won for Best Director.

Polanski, of course, could not accept the award in person, but it didn’t stop the liberal Hollywood elites from giving a convicted child rapist a standing ovation.

Streep herself gave Polanski a thunderous applause.

But that’s not the only hypocrisy concerning Streep though.

Senior Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway addressed Streep’s speech on Fox & Friends saying:

“I didn’t hear her weigh in and I didn’t hear her even use her platform last night, Ainsley, to give a shout-out to the mentally-challenged boy who last week was tortured live on Facebook for a half an hour by four young African-American adults who were screaming racial and anti-Trump expletives and forcing him to put his head in toilet water.”

Conway added, “I’m concerned that somebody with a platform like Meryl Streep’s is inciting people’s worst instincts.”
