Donald Trump is officially America’s 45th President.
Against all odds, he crushed his opponents and breezed through the Republican presidential primary. And in November, he finished off the Clinton Machine once and for all.
But one CEO from a liberal news network just leveled a serious threat against President Trump.
When a faulty intel story broke based off an alleged “intelligence report” that Russia had dirt on Trump, CNN thought they finally nailed Trump.
As American Patriot Daily previously reported, eager to shut down Trump, CNN ran with the story.
But when the story completely fell apart, and turned out to be bogus, CNN lost credibility and suffered massive humiliation.
And in order to teach CNN a lesson, Trump fired back hard in response.
During a press conference, a CNN reporter wanted Trump to respond to a question, but Trump refused and shot back at the reporter, calling him “terrible” and reiterating CNN was “fake news.”
Stunned, CNN news executives again suffered public humiliation by the most powerful man in America.
Instead of apologizing for the fake news story, CNN CEO Jeff Zucker stood by the story, and did not regret covering the alleged “news.”
When asked during an interview if Trump’s “fake news” comment hurt CNN, Zucker continued to defend CNN.
The New York Magazine reports:
“It’s just unfortunate that the most powerful person in the world is trying to delegitimize journalism and an organization that plays such a vital role in our democracy. I think he’s entitled to his opinion, but it’s — to use one of his favorite words — sad.”
While Zucker acknowledged Trump’s power, he demonstrated massive disrespect against Trump throughout his interview.
When asked about Trump’s refusal to respond to the CNN journalist, Zucker issued a warning shot at Trump.
“I think the era of access journalism as we’ve known it is over. It doesn’t worry me that Donald Trump hasn’t done an interview with CNN in eight months. I think our credibility is higher than ever, and our viewership is higher than ever, and our reporting is as strong as ever. One of the things I think this administration hasn’t figured out yet is that there’s only one television network that is seen in Beijing, Moscow, Seoul, Tokyo, Pyongyang, Baghdad, Tehran, and Damascus — and that’s CNN. The perception of Donald Trump in capitals around the world is shaped, in many ways, by CNN. Continuing to have an adversarial relationship with that network is a mistake.”
Zucker’s threat alluded to the fact that CNN is viewed all over the world, and that Trump better get in line or face worldwide scrutiny.
Since Zucker admitted to knowing Trump for more than 15 years, he should realize Donald Trump doesn’t respond to threats, and can’t be intimidated.
Throughout the campaign, whenever a threat was fired at Trump, he doubled-down and ended up humiliating his opponents.
While Zucker may control CNN, he should realize he’s now going against the most powerful man in the country, who has the support of the American people.
The American people already distrust the mainstream media, and with CNN reporting on a faulty story in a desperate attempt to take down Trump, they may have just placed the nail in their own coffin.
Do you think CNN has the ability to damage Trump’s reputation on a worldwide scale? Or, do you agree with Trump that CNN is “terrible” and is just another example of “fake news?”
