Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton constantly shows her distaste for President Trump’s political policies and viewpoints.

While the President made a quick and decisive response in the wake of the tragedy that just occurred in New York, Hillary was quick to point out what she believed was the wrong response to the terrorist threat.

But despite her criticisms, Trump has responded in kind to the threats against Americans– and Hillary Clinton herself seems to have forgotten that the safety of American citizens is the first priority.

While appearing with Comedy Central’sThe Daily Show,” Clinton claimed President Trump was dividing the nation with his comments against terrorists–as if the feelings of the terrorists needed to be considered as well.

Clinton was quick to point out comparisons with how her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and his successors handled tragedy.

Breitbart reported:

Hillary said, “Well, it’s so disappointing, Trevor. Because, you know, I was a senator from New York on 9/11. I was with President Obama through a lot of difficult decisions as his secretary of state. I obviously, saw my husband responding to tragedies, attacks, the Oklahoma City bombing. And what you want in a president is what I think the three men I just mentioned delivered, and that is trying to bring the country together, talk about what happened with the event that they are concerned about, but not to point fingers, not to scapegoat, not to try to set Americans against each other.

And, unfortunately, that just is not part of the job that our current president accepts or is willing to perform. You know, of course he can have his own point of view and push his policies. That goes with the job. But not to continue to divide Americans against each other. So, he just doesn’t have any empathy. And you can disagree with somebody over all kinds of partisan issues, but you want to have a president who can try to put himself into the shoes, the feelings of somebody else. And he has not been able to do that.”

But while she claimed President Trump’s predecessors handled similar situations in a better manner, she failed to mention they had received criticism of their responses at the time.

While Trump is being judged for blaming the political climate for encouraging these acts of terror, her own husband had a similar response to the Oklahoma bombing that took 168 lives and was the worst act of terror on U.S. soil prior September 11th.

In 1995, the New York Times reported:

After days of measured statements of grief and outrage over the Oklahoma City bombing, Mr. Clinton edged today into a new discussion of the civic and political climate that might have encouraged it. As soon as he finished speaking, senior White House aides became concerned that his remarks would be interpreted as an attack on radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh and rushed to insist that the President had only been urging Americans to protect free speech by speaking out against hatred.

President Trump’s response to the latest terrorist threat this nation has seen is no different than that of his predecessors – calling for increased security measures to ensure the safety of the American people.

President Bush enacted the Patriot Act during his tenure as President, which violated a citizen’s Fourth Amendment rights.

But now, in the wake of Trump’s push to uphold the Second Amendment so that Americans can defend themselves and their families, Hillary Clinton is combative.

Case in point: after the devastating attack in Las Vegas in early October, Hillary Clinton immediately blamed guns and gun owners and insisted regulations be tightened.

She took to Twitter following the event:

Hillary Clinton’s criticisms against President Trump have no basis, as she herself is being criticized for her response to recent acts of terror.

Instead of offering aid, she is offering blame of Republicans.

Do you think Clinton’s criticisms hold no ground?
