Radical campus leftists prevented conservative commentator Ann Coulter from speaking at Berkley.

Just how radical are these campus snowflakes and their Stalinist campaign to suppress free speech?

The campus left is so radical that not even the darling of the left Elizabeth Warren would take their side.

Ann Coulter was scheduled to speak at the University of California after being invited by the school’s College Republicans.

But as soon as the campus leftists threatened violence, the school quickly canceled her speech.

The Associated Press reports:

Coulter was invited to speak at Berkeley by campus Republicans on the subject of illegal immigration. The event raised concerns of more violence at Berkeley, where masked rioters smashed windows, set fires and shut down an appearance by former Breitbart News editor Milo Yiannopoulos in February.

University officials sent the Berkeley College Republicans a letter Tuesday, saying that officials and campus police had determined they could not ensure the safety of Coulter, audience members or protesters expected at the event.

“We have been unable to find a safe and suitable venue,” said the letter from Vice Chancellor Scott Biddy and Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Stephen Sutton. “Given current active security threats, it is not possible to assure that the event could be held successfully.”

The school reacted to what was dubbed the “Second Battle of Berkley” where radical left demonstrators attacked Trump supporters.

Left-wing goons flooded a pro-Trump rally and engaged in gang style attacks on peaceful Trump supporters.

Fearing another left-wing riot, school administrators allowed these violent thugs to intimidate them into stopping a conservative speaker from appearing on campus.

Former Democrat National Committee Chair Howard Dean weighed in and supported the free speech hating radicals.

He falsely claimed that Coulter actively engages in “hate speech” and that it is not protected by the Constitution.

Fact check: It is.

So when Warren was asked for her thoughts on the matter during an interview on CNN, the darling of the left-wing radicals slammed the attempts to stop Coulter from speaking at Berkley.

Mediaite reports:

“In a special primetime edition of The Lead, CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Warren for her reaction and whether she agrees with Howard Dean‘s assessment of what speech is and isn’t protected.

Warren responded, “Ann Coulter has just gotten a much bigger platform because someone tried to deny her a chance to speak.”

“If you don’t like it,” she added, “don’t show up.”

When the left has lost Elizabeth Warren you know they have gone too far.
