DNC Chairman Tom Perez already made one faux pas in the media this week, claiming the Democratic Party “will no longer support pro-lifers”.

Now, he recently stuck his foot in his mouth again.

Perez spoke at the Immigration and Workers Rally held outside of the White House earlier this week, and made an embarrassing statement involving illegal immigrants.

Perez essentially said there was no such thing as an illegal immigrant during the Democratic rally that was meant to support the legalization of immigrants.

The Daily Caller reported:

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez spoke at an immigrant and workers rally outside of the White House Monday.

“The Democratic party will always be here, fighting for you,” Perez told the group Monday afternoon. “The Democratic party is here, fighting for you.”

Our most important power is not the mister in the White House, I can’t even mention his name, the power is with all of you,” Perez said, before extolling the power of big labor, which was present at the march in solidarity. “No human being is illegal, we must treat everyone with dignity,” Perez continued, as he switched between English and Spanish for the crowd.

Not only did Chairman Perez ignore the fact that illegal immigration is a real problem, but he was petty enough not to refer to President Trump by his name.

The protest in front of the White House was intended to be a significant event, but only grew to be a few thousand by the time dinner came around for many protesters.

It was part of a series of protests organized by liberals and marked a self-designated May Day by the Democratic Party.

The Blaze reported:

May Day, also known as International Workers’ Day, is historically a holiday promoted and supported by socialist and communist groups worldwide. It is also viewed as one of the most important holidays in communist countries like North Korea, China, and Cuba.

But Tom Perez butchered his speech at the supposedly significant event, and Democrats are reeling against him for a second time this week.

While his claims possibly were made in good faith, they are completely false, to say the least.

Illegal immigration is a massive problem that many countries, including the United States and areas in Europe, face daily.

It only goes to show how out of touch the Democratic Party is with day to day problems in the country.

Do you think Tom Perez is qualified to be chairman of anything, let alone a political convention?

Do you believe the term ‘illegal immigrant’ is a legitimate term and should apply to undocumented immigrants in the United States?
