A certain Democratic leader just revealed she tends to sign Democratic bills into law without reading them.

In a recent interview about the passing of the American Health Care Act, she revealed she typically signs off on the bills and trusts her party knows what they are doing.

In the past, the former Speaker of the House claimed she had to pass bills and protect the transparency of those bills without reading them.

This comment was sparked by the fact that while she claimed she didn’t have to read through Obamacare to know it was “right for the American people”, she carefully needed to read the Republican health care bill.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi essentially told the American people that either she doesn’t care about them or her job enough to read through the bills that come across her desk, or that she has blind faith only in what she once claimed was a “broken” party.

The Blaze reported:

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) had some interesting comments yesterday on the health care bill that was just passed today by the House.

Today on “Pure Opelka,” Mike Opelka noted that although Pelosi had told the American people that Congress had to pass Obamacare to see what was in it, it’s clear she took the time to read the Republican counter bill.

Pelosi later went on to argue points of the American Health Care Act that were included in the new Republican bill, but that she clearly didn’t see when she “carefully read it through”.

The Blaze reported:

She said that the Republican claim that their plan provides coverage for pre-existing conditions is not true. Mike countered that it is, though the amount of coverage may end up changing on a state by state basis because of the MacArthur amendment.

Pelosi also quoted Robert Graboyes, a health care expert at the Mercatus Center, who said that the $8 billion allocated to high-risk pools is “a fifth of a pittance.” Mike observed that it seems she only reads health care bills of people with whom she does not agree.

In the past, Pelosi claimed as Speaker of the House one had to simply pass the bill before they could read it.

Now, she is claiming that bills she is unsure of must be released prior to their passing, ignoring her previous stand on transparency.

The Blaze reported:

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) appears to have changed her mind when it comes to transparency, calling on House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) to release all of the information about the House GOP’s American Health Care Act so voters can see the “full impact” of the Obamacare replacement bill.

As speaker of the House in 2010, when former President Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act was being debated, Pelosi famously declared: “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.”

Do you think Pelosi is just trying to be difficult while the AHCA passes?

Do you believe bills need to be “transparent” before they are passed?
