House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi interviewed with NBC news in February, and while she ultimately was trying to defend the party, even she admitted it was a broken group.

In the interview, Pelosi spoke about how the party was led by weak members, and needed a more in-touch leader.

Now, Pelosi is making excuses for liberals, and claims that the group is “100% unified,” despite its many issues.

In the NBC interview, Pelosi spoke about how out of touch the Democratic leaders were with the American people:

WASHINGTON – House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Sunday defended herself and her place in the leadership of the Democratic Party, saying that the party needs experience as well as new blood.

“Right now we need experience, as well as new leadership,” Pelosi told NBC’s Chuck Todd on Meet The Press. “And I was a new leader when I emerged myself. I’m all for that. But that’s not the point. The point is, who has the leverage? The American people had the impression, some, that Donald Trump was going to give them the leverage when he became president.”

In a more recent interview with Breitbart News, Pelosi claimed that the party was now “100% unified,” despite being in worse shape than ever.

Breitbart News reports:

House Minority Speaker Nancy Pelosi appears to be in denial about the severely fractured state of the Democratic Party.

Asked by ABC’s Jonathan Karl to grade the Democrats during the first 100 days of President Donald Trump’s administration, Pelosi responded, “In terms of unity, 100 percent unified.”

Karl shot back asking her, “Two-thirds of the American people say the Democratic Party is out of touch … Isn’t the Democratic Party a bit of a mess right now?” Pelosi responded, “No, it isn’t.”

However, some recent examples in the media point to just how divided the Democrats are.

Recently appointed Democratic National Committee Vice Chairman Keith Ellison blamed former President Barack Obama last month for his party’s 2016 losses and not being a “better party leader.” According to The Hill, while speaking at an event at the University of Minnesota, Ellison said, “Look, I’m a great fan of President Obama … But Barack Obama could have been a better party leader, and I think the fact that he wasn’t put his legacy in jeopardy.”

The left’s progressive darling, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), also criticized Obama’s “giant blind spots” in his communication with “most Americans.”

Shortly after, Pelosi mentioned her opinion on the DNC Chairman’s recent statement banning pro-lifers from the Democratic Party, once again proving her disloyalty to the party, and her denial of their fractured state.

Fox News reports:

Asked Sunday if a Democratic politician could be pro-life, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi was unequivocal.

“Of course,” Pelosi told NBC’s Meet The Press. “I have served many years in Congress with members who have not shared my very positive – my family would say aggressive – position on promoting a woman’s right to choose.”
