The media claimed there was no evidence Barack Obama spied on Donald Trump.

They jumped up and down and demanded he apologize.

But one Congressman explained how certain he was the Obama administration spied on Trump.

Congressman Peter King (R NY) appeared on The O’Reilly Factor to discuss House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes shocking press conference where he announced he has seen disturbing reports about the Obama administration pacing Trump transition officials under surveillance.

King also sits on the intelligence committee and he stated that he was “99.5% certain” that the Obama administration spied on Trump.

Breitbart reports:

“[T]he president had a very legitimate case to make,” King said. “He overstepped it by saying President Obama ordered wiretapping. That we don’t know, but what we do know is to me this is shameful.”

Host Bill O’Reilly pressed King on the seriousness of Trump being “surveilled,” to which King said it was at least 99.5 percent correct he was surveilled.

“I would say, from all I know, you’re at least 99-and-a-half percent accurate, and probably 100 percent,” he replied.”

King also described the “shameful” violations of intelligence protocol and law.

Fox News reports:

“King said the fact that Trump’s name appeared in the reports obtained by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) was one of a few violations that were committed.

Trump nor his associates were being wiretapped, King said. Instead the surveillance focused on foreign individuals who referenced them.

“Any time your [American’s] name comes up, it’s supposed to be masked. Reports were written with names of these people and details,” King said, adding that the information was then spread around to different entities.

The surveillance could have been for legitimate purposes, King said, but the fact that Trump’s and his transition team’s names came up is “shameful”.

King said Trump “overplayed his hand” by flatly accusing President Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower, but clarified that information pertaining to Trump was used and leaked illegally in the process of conducting other surveillance.

He said authorities must find who gave the order to “unmask” Trump or his associates and who allowed the information to be leaked out.

Nobody inside the Trump Organization was being accused of anything, King said.”

The media has latched on to the thin reed tat for Trump to be correct Obama must have physically tapped his phones.

But for Trump, “wiretapping” could cover a broad rand of techniques.

And it’s obvious from the recent revelations that the Obama administration was spying on the Trump team and illegally spreading the information in order to hurt them politically.

This is a massive scandal.

Some believe it is the worst Presidential misconduct and abuse of power in American history.
