During the 2016 presidential campaign, CNN developed the reputation as a rabidly anti-Trump network.

Trump himself often referred to it as the “Clinton News Network.”

But CNN’s hatred for Trump turned even uglier when an on-air talent was caught on camera saying something shocking.

While covering President-elect Trump’s event in Indiana where he announced Carrier and his administration had reached a deal to keep 1,000 jobs in America as opposed to moving to Mexico, CNN correspondent Suzanne Malveaux and her producer were caught joking about Trump’s plane crashing.

Independent Journal Review reports:

“The “most trusted name in news” is at it again. Or should I say “still.” Moments before President-elect Trump’s plane touched down in Indianapolis on Thursday, a member of CNN correspondent Suzanne Malveaux’s crew joked about it crashing.

The producer can be heard telling Malveaux she’ll signal her if the plane lands during the live segment: “That means the plane has crashed…just kidding.”

Malveaux reacted with surprise before laughing it off. CNN released a statement on Friday apologizing for the “unfortunate” incident.”

CNN’s rabid anti-Trump coverage has hurt the network.

Ratings published by Adweek on November 22nd showed the network has fallen to third place in primetime television.

Critics attribute this plunge to on-air talent turning the network into a 24/7 home for enraged anti-Trump partisans.

Trump has often criticized the network’s coverage.

CNN attacked the President-elect for his claim that he would have won the popular vote except for the fact that three million illegal immigrants voted.

The President-elect fired back when CNN labeled his claim as “baseless.”

He also noted that their coverage remained hopelessly biased even after the election.

While CNN did apologize, a reporter and producer joking about the President-elect’s plane crashing will do little to neither improve the network’s reputation as a partisan news outlet nor boost their ratings.
