Anti-secrecy activists, WikiLeaks, became the focus of establishment ire during the 2016 election.

They released emails from the accounts of prominent Democrats and it revealed the truth that the Clinton campaign, the media, and the national party all acted as one.

Now CIA Director Mike Pompeo has made some surprising remarks about WikiLeaks.

He recently delivered a speech and tore into WikiLeaks.

He joined the other establishment figures and deep state operatives who have labeled the group as a front for Russian intelligence.

Politico reports:

“CIA Director Mike Pompeo launched a broadside Thursday against the anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks, calling it a “non-state hostile intelligence service often abetted” by hostile countries like Russia.

“WikiLeaks walks like a hostile intelligence service, and talks like a hostile intelligence service,” Pompeo said at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in his first public remarks since becoming CIA chief.

Pompeo also pointed to U.S. intelligence officials’ conclusion that WikiLeaks had served as a middleman for Russian intelligence services when it published thousands of pilfered Democratic Party emails during the heart of the presidential contest. He didn’t mention that the same assessment determined that Russia’s efforts evolved into an influence campaign aimed at helping Donald Trump defeat Hillary Clinton.

“In January of this year, our intelligence community determined that Russian military intelligence — the GRU — had used WikiLeaks to release data of U.S. victims that the GRU had obtained through cyber operations against the Democratic National Committee,” the former Kansas Republican congressman said Thursday.”

Pompeo repeated the same accusations – that the Russians acted via WikiLeaks to meddle in the election.

The intelligence community also claims they did so to benefit Trump.

But no evidence has been presented to substantiate this theory.

In fact, WikiLeaks has denied that Russia was their source for the emails.

And WikiLeaks also pointed out that Pompeo tweeted out emails they released during the campaign.

Everything WikiLeaks released to the public was truthful information.

Americans learned that Donna Brazile – while acting as a CNN contributor – leaked debate questions to Hillary Clinton ahead of a Democrat Primary town hall.

They also showed how the press worked with the Clinton campaign to shape stories.

And Americans discovered how Clinton Campaign Chairman John Podesta and other leftists tried to subvert the Catholic Church through left-wing groups.

Julian Assange insists his source for the emails was not Russia.

Is the establishment trying to silence a whistleblower?

Or is WikiLeaks a front for Russian intelligence?
