Throughout the election, many celebrities campaigned for Hillary Clinton and were openly endorsing her political policies as well as appearing at rallies for the Democratic candidate.

Many of the celebrities who campaigned for Clinton were radical progressives, who support abortion services and LGBT marriage rights.

Now, one of the die-hard Clinton fans is turning on her and is claiming she doesn’t want to be held responsible for Clinton losing the election.

Lena Dunham, a second-rate comedian and creator of the show “Girls” was one of the former Democratic nominee’s most outspoken supporters in Hollywood.

Now, Dunham is pointing the blame at anyone but herself, and all the other celebrities in Hollywood that led to the demise of Clinton’s presidential career.

Ironically, she pointedly targets those from the right, as if they were supposed to support Clinton in the first place as a legitimate presidential candidate.

The Hill reported:

“It’s amazing. I’m like, ‘Why don’t we check in with Russia, you guys?’ I think it tends to come more from the right wing, although I’m not sure,” Dunham replied when asked about critics pointing the finger at her for Clinton losing the White House.

“Do people want me to go, ‘I don’t think I’m really good for this. I’m gonna bow out?’ I wouldn’t see any use for celebrity if I wasn’t fighting rabidly for what I thought was right,” she adds in the interview published Wednesday.

Dunham continued on in her rant to critics from  Rolling Stone and continued to throw more names to blame into the mix — including some who did not even openly support Hillary Clinton.

She even went so far as to claim she was targeted by those in Hollywood herself.

The Hill reported:

Dunham says it hurts to have people pin the blame on her for President Trump’s stunning win in November. “I backed Hillary Clinton when a lot of people in my age group were on the [Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.)] train, so I was getting s–t from the right for being a ‘libtard’ – and getting s–t from young people for supporting what they saw as a corporate candidate. It was painful when people were like, ‘Hillary lost because Lena Dunham is such a bad example of liberalism.'”

The Hill reported:

But everyone’s scared and upset, and they need someone to blame,” the 30-year-old performer told the magazine. “It’s easier to blame me than it is to, like, blame George Clooney for not giving enough speeches or whatever. You could go around pointing fingers in every f—–g direction in Hollywood if you wanted to.

While many can point the finger at individual celebrities, the fact of the matter is that it was a group effort between all liberals in Hollywood that helped Clinton lose.

Ultimately, however, no one is really to blame for losing the election but Hillary Clinton herself.

She was simply an unfit candidate, as she had a suspicious past and credibility issues relating to her many scandals.
