Second Amendment rights are one of the most important issues in the modern political spectrum today.

With all the recent rioting and attacks being committed by illegal aliens in the United States alone, citizens need to protect themselves now more than ever.

And a recent example, just seen in a small Oklahoma town, is proof that violent attacks can occur anywhere.

A young man was able to save the lives of his entire family, thanks to his father who owned a rifle.

The 23-year-old fatally shot three burglars, just moments after they broke into the residence.

They were armed, and dangerous.

In an act of self-defense, the 23-year-old acted quickly as the three robbers declared their intent to rob and harm the family.

The Blaze reports:

“They were dressed in black, all had masks on, and all had gloves on,” he said.

But things did not go according to plan for the would-be robbers. Upon entering the home, the suspects encountered the homeowner’s armed 23-year-old son, who also lives there. Mahoney said there was a “short exchange of words, then gunfire happened.”

Preliminary investigations have shown that the shooting of the robbers was in self-defense.

The son of the victimized family, whose name will not be released, agreed to give a testimony and statement at the local sheriff’s station to verify his story.

The little Oklahoma town was shaken by the events that occurred, but thanks to the quick thinking of the son, the family was not harmed.

The Blaze reports:

Two of the suspects, according to investigators, were armed. One suspect had a knife and another had brass knuckles. Mahoney said the homeowner’s son, whose name has not been released, volunteered to give a statement at the sheriff’s office.

“This is very, very unusual for us [in Wagoner County],” Mahoney said. “It’s not something we’re used to.”

A fourth accomplice later turned herself in to authorities and was arrested.

The Blaze reports:

According to the sheriff’s office, a fourth suspect, the 21-year-old getaway driver, Elizabeth Marie Rodriguez, turned herself into the Broken Arrow Police Department several hours after the shooting, claiming to have information.

Wagoner County investigators interviewed Rodriguez and subsequently arrested her on three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of first-degree burglary.

Events such as this are an unfortunate occurrence in the United States, and therefore, people must have a way to protect themselves.
