Conflict in or near the border states is not uncommon, unfortunately, thanks to liberals and their loosely regulated border policies.

As a result, drug use has become an issue in the country as well, even among American citizens.

Most recently, border control agents ironically stopped an American citizen from bringing contraband into the United States – but the way he attempted to smuggle it in was bizarre at best.

Willcox border patrol agents recently halted the smuggling of tens of thousands of dollars-worth of marijuana.

In an unusual twist, the marijuana was being carried in a hearse.

Breitbart News reported:

Border Patrol agents found tens of thousands of dollars-worth of marijuana stashed inside a hearse.

Willcox Border Patrol Agents arrested a 28-year-old U.S. citizen attempting to smuggle 67 pounds of marijuana into the United States from Mexico on Saturday evening, CBP Arizona reported.

Agents working at the State Route 80 Immigration Checkpoint near Tombstone stopped the hearse and after further investigation, decided to inspect the vehicle.

While investigating, the border patrol agent noticed some inconsistencies within the individual’s story and decided to call a K-9 unit and backup agents.

In the hearse, the agents found pounds among pounds of marijuana.

Breitbart News reported:

During questioning, agents noticed several inconsistencies in the suspect’s story at which point they decided to bring in a Border Patrol K-9 to check the vehicle for possible narcotics.

The service dog alerted agents to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle, and after searching the hearse, found multiple bricks of marijuana hidden inside a casket worth an estimated $33,000.

The K-9 dogs were able to sniff the drugs out despite the disguise, and the individual was arrested.

Breitbart News reported:

The driver attempted to mask the smell of the marijuana by mixing the bricks in with bags of manure.

Border Patrol agents seized the vehicle after placing the man under arrest for alleged narcotics smuggling.

Drug use is one of the most debated topics in the political world today.

With the inflow of drugs that illegal aliens and other individuals bring in from countries like Mexico, stricter border control is needed now more than ever.

Do you think marijuana should remain an illegal drug?

Do you think having a border wall built would help control drug trade into the United States?
