The crisis over North Korea’s nuclear program appears to be coming to a head.

Experts believe the United States will be forced to accept a nuclear-armed madman in Kim Jong Un because there is a lack of viable military alternatives.

But Trump revealed an ace up his sleeve that has North Korea in a panic.

Secretary of Defense James “Mad Dog” Mattis announced the U.S. has military options that would preserve Seoul, the capital of South Korea.

Axios reported:

“Defense Secretary Jim Mattis told reporters at the Pentagon that there are military options for North Korea that don’t put Seoul, South Korea’s capital, at risk, NBC News’ Hans Nichols reports. Mattis added he would “not go into details” but that there are “many military options in concert with our allies.”

North Korea has artillery aimed at Seoul, just 35 miles away, meaning an attack on North Korea is likely to put the city of 10+ million people under threat of imminent military attack. It’s hard to imagine a plan that completely removes that threat, but that seems to be what Mattis is suggesting.”

Experts believed the U.S. had no viable military option because the thousands of artillery pieces North Korea has aimed at Seoul.

The assumption was any conflict between America and North Korea would lead to the incineration of Seoul and the loss of possibly millions of lives.

But “Mad Dog” Mattis claims that is not true.

He insisted America has the wherewithal to take out North Korea and defend Seoul.

Trump doubled down in this tough posture with his speech at the United Nations General Assembly.

He labeled Kim Jong Un with the nickname “Rocket Man” and said the North Korean dictator was on a suicide mission.

Trump also said Kim Jong Un’s current course of action would lead to the destruction of  North Korea.

Axios reported:

“President Trump addressed the UN General Assembly today, discussing everything from the escalating North Korean threat to the Iran nuclear deal. It was the first such speech of Trump’s presidency, and he used the platform to urge the world’s leaders unite in aggressively ramping up pressure on Pyongyang.

Hardline on North Korea: “No nation on earth has an interest in seeing this band of criminals arm itself with nuclear weapons and missiles,” Trump said. “The U.S. has great strength and patience but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea.”

A war with North Korea would be horrific.

It could lead to loss of life on the scale Americans have not seen in their lifetimes.

But if Kim Jong Un forces America’s hand, the U.S. has the ability to protect her allies as well as wipe North Korea off the map.
