The virus of anti-American NFL anthem protests is mutating.

NFL players are not content to merely disrespect the Star Spangled Banner.

They had a secret closed-door meeting that resulted in the protests being taken to the next level.

NFL players are now demanding November be designated as “activism month.”

Four players – including Michael Bennett, who lied about the Las Vegas police racially profiling him – sent a letter to Commissioner Roger Goodell asking him to allow them to escalate their left-wing protests in November with the official approval of the NFL.

Yahoo Sports reports:

Current and former NFL players campaigning for racial equality and criminal justice reform wrote a lengthy memo to league commissioner Roger Goodell officially seeking overt league support in their effort, including an endorsement for an activism awareness month, Yahoo Sports has learned.

The 10-page memo, obtained by Yahoo Sports, was sent to Goodell and executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent in August, requesting wide-ranging involvement in their movement from the NFL. The memo seeks an investment of time and education, political involvement, finances and other commitments from the league. It also sought to have the NFL endorse the month of November as an activism awareness month, similar to the periods of league calendar dedicated to breast cancer awareness and military recognition.

It was endorsed by four players: Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael BennettPhiladelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins, former Buffalo Bills wideout Anquan Boldin and Eagles wideout Torrey Smith.

Now the NFL Players Association and league executives met to further discuss the players’ political activism.

The league released a statement about the “productive conversation” both sides had.

Pro Football Talk reports:

The NFL held a meeting with players and team owners last week to discuss the national anthem and player protests last week and the conversation about players’ desire to address social issues continued this week.

In a joint statement, the NFL and NFLPA announced a meeting on Tuesday that involved league officials, union officials, team owners and players.

“The NFL & NFLPA met today to discuss the important issue of social activism by NFL players. Roger Goodell, DeMaurice Smith, Eric Winston, Robert Kraft, John Mara, Art Rooney & other player leaders engaged in a productive conversation. We’re all committed to an ongoing dialogue.”

The meeting comes less than a month after a group of four players wrote a letter to Goodell asking the league for “support, collaboration and partnerships to achieve our goal of strengthening the community.” The letter also included a request for the league to establish an activism awareness month, although it’s not clear if that was part of Tuesday’s discussion.

All the causes the players are asking the NFL to sanction are left-wing, and straight out of the pro-cop killer Black Lives Matter movement playbook.

None of the players will be protesting abortion, Obamacare, high taxes or gun control.

The left is working to turn the NFL into another Hollywood awards show where the American people are berated for three hours about how horrible America is, how racist Donald Trump is, and why they need to submit to the latest liberal cultural jihad.

Will increased liberal political activism from the players cause you to watch less NFL football?
