Last Saturday it appeared that Cliven Bundy, his family and supporters had kept the BLM and armed federal agents from confiscating Bundy’s cattle and land. However, the BLM quickly flip-flopped their position and said on Monday that no deal had been made, and the agency would continue its pursuit of Bundy, his land and cattle.

Clark County Sherriff Douglas Gillespie announced on April 12th the BLM had agreed to cease its operation against Bundy. However, the BLM later said it played no part in the deal and will continue to pursue the Nevada rancher “administratively and judicially” for the $1 million in grazing fees it claims Bundy owes the federal government.

Senator Harry Reid confirmed the BLM’s position in an interview with KRNV in Reno and said “it’s not over,” because “we can’t have an American people that violate the law then walk away from it.”

That’s because the not-so-honorable Senator (and his son Rory) have a big financial interest in a Chinese solar farm that just broke ground last month close to the Bundy ranch.

041414 Reid Digging

Investigative reporter Doug Hagmann recently confirmed  that this was the case:

“I was contacted by my source within the Department of Homeland Security regarding the current situation at the Bundy ranch. To put it bluntly, people are being hoodwinked into believing that the situation is being resolved. It is not. It is a strategic de-escalation to fool the public… the retreat of the BLM agents and the release of the cattle was actually crafted as a potential plan yesterday (April 11).

“… according to this source, the government will take back ‘their land’ as they must to fulfill international obligations. It was never about grazing rights or anything other than (1) ‘securing clear title’ to the land, and (2) further demonizing any patriotic resistance.”

As usual, the real story (and what caused it) isn’t what the mainstream media reports. You only need to follow the money, corruption and power of politicians like Harry Reid.
