The mayor of London just made a petty remark regarding President Trump’s future visit to London.

Trump criticized Sadiq Khan’s handling of the recent terrorist attack in London last week, and the mayor now wants to cancel President Trump’s trip after his embarrassing call out.

Khan is trying to take a stand against Trump, calling him a bully and claiming “‘many things about him are wrong”.

The Daily Caller reported:

London Mayor Sadiq Khan suggested canceling President Trump’s state visit after he criticized him for the way he responded to the terror attack on the London Bridge.

“I don’t think we should roll out the red carpet to the president of the USA in the circumstances where his policies go against everything we stand for,” Khan said in an interview with a British news channel Monday.

“When you have a special relationship it is no different from when you have got a close mate. You stand with them in times of adversity, but you call them out when they are wrong. There are many things about which Donald Trump is wrong.”

After three men drove a van into a pedestrian bridge last week and went on a stabbing spree, Trump tweeted the mayor was downplaying the danger of the situation by not calling it a terrorist attack.

And while he claims President Trump misquoted him in the tweet, Khan did tell citizens not to be alarmed in the wake of terrorist attacks.

The Daily Caller reported:

Though Khan told Londoners not to be alarmed by the increased police presence in the days ahead, Trump tweeted: “At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!’”

And of course, the liberal media is trying to claim President Trump wants to pick a fight with the liberal mayor who supports refugee-acceptance and open borders, which is simply not true.

An ABC News reporter defended President Trump’s remarks during the briefing on Monday.

The Daily Caller reported:

“I don’t think that’s actually true,” Sanders said. “I think the media wants to spin it that way. I think the point is there is a reason to be alarmed. We have constant attacks going on, not just there, but across the globe.”

Regardless of what President Trump may have misquoted in a tweet, the mayor of London is currently trying to cancel Trump’s trip so he does not have to face him.

This is just another example of liberal’s pettiness getting in the way of actual changes being made.

Do you think foreign relations between the United States and London could suffer as a result of the drama?
