Amnesty advocates lost their minds when Donald Trump rescinded Barack Obama’s illegal DACA amnesty scheme.

Protesters took to the streets and members of Congress posted unhinged social media rants.

But one Congressman crossed the line with an un-American attack on a General.

Illinois Congressman Luis Gutierrez is the leading pro-open borders advocate in the Democrat Party.

He has spent his political career pushing amnesty for illegal aliens.

So when Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced DACA would end after a six-month delay, Gutierrez lashed out at the administration.

And he directed his ire at Chief of Staff former Marine General John Kelly.

He smeared Kelly as a “disgrace” to his uniform.

The Hill reports:

“Democratic Rep. Luis Gutiérrez (D-Ill.) on Tuesday issued an unusually personal rebuke of White House chief of staff John Kelly, suggesting the retired Marine general has tainted his military service by working in the administration as President Trump ends a program shielding young immigrants from deportation.

“General Kelly is a hypocrite who is a disgrace to the uniform he used to wear. He has no honor and should be drummed out of the White House along with the white supremacists and those enabling the President’s actions by ‘just following orders,’ ” Gutiérrez said in a scathing statement, shortly after Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) immigration policy will be phased out.

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus member claimed Kelly backed out of a commitment to protect DACA recipients, who were brought to the United States illegally as children, from deportation while serving as the Homeland Security secretary.

“General Kelly, when he was the head of Homeland Security, lied straight to the faces of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus about preventing the mass deportation of DREAMers. Now as Chief of Staff, this former general is executing the plan to take away their lifeline and taking steps to criminalize young people who live and work here legally,” he said.”

Not only did this attack cross the line – General Kelly is a patriot whose son lost his life fighting for America in Afghanistan – but it is false.

Ending DACA does not mean the Trump administration is going to round up DREAMers for mass deportation.

It does end their protected status from deportation, but the Trump administration has maintained that criminals and violent felons are still the priority.

If a DREAMer is arrested, they will be deported.

But the administration is not going to use the personal information they turned over to the government when they applied for work permits to hunt them down and deport them.

But the facts never get in the way of the amnesty debate for open borders advocates.

They had always hoped to use the so-called “DREAMers” as a wedge to drive a larger bargain on amnesty.

These so-called “DREAMers” present a sympathetic face – children who were brought here illegally by their parents – of the amnesty agenda.

Once they are granted amnesty, the immigration lobby will then claim it’s heartless to breakup families, so they will demand amnesty for the DREAMers parents and adult relatives.

It’s a scam to grant citizenship to millions of illegal aliens and turn them into Democrat voters.

Trump called their bluff and ended DACA.

So Congressman Gutierrez lost his marbles watching his pet issue collapse before his eyes.

And that led him to make a disgusting attack on one of America’s great Generals.
