Chuck Schumer thought he was perfectly positioned to defeat Donald Trump.

The Democrats finally had the pieces in place to end Trump’s Presidency.

But with this one move, Trump handed Schumer a defeat he never saw coming.

Schumer and Nancy Pelosi were expected to meet with Republican leaders at the White House in order to negotiate a December bill to fund the government for next year.

Democrats are increasingly taking a hard-line and insisting the bill grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.

But Trump shot that all down with a pre-meeting tweet.

Schumer and Pelosi – who could not believe Trump called their bluff – quickly retreated and fired off a petty statement attacking Trump.

Breitbart reports:

“Schumer said, “As I said, there are serious issues in front of us. We don’t have time to waste. We don’t have games to play. We need to fund the military. We need to protect millions of American pensions, fund scientific research and student loans. We need to rebuild in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and California. And we need to protect the DREAMers. If the president reverses course and decides he wants to be a constructive force, working with both sides to forge a bipartisan deal, we’re happy to meet with him anytime, anywhere, any place.”

He added, “But as long as he remains a destructive force, it would be a waste of everyone’s time to continue working with someone who clearly has no interest in coming to an agreement. We hope the president, in order to avoid this calamity, will change his mind. The President and our Republican friends run the House and Senate. They have a responsibility, a responsibility not to let the government run out of funds. We’re willing to work with them, but they have to do it in a bipartisan way.”

Trump went ahead with the meeting and sat next to the two empty chairs marked for Schumer and Pelosi.

They came off like spoiled children while Trump was hard at work for the American people.

Trump also ripped them for wanting to shut down the government over illegal aliens instead of funding the military at a time when North Korea just test fired a missile capable of striking anywhere in the United States.

If Schumer and Pelosi do go ahead with holding the U.S. military hostage over amnesty for illegal aliens, they will set themselves up for a drubbing in the 2018 midterms.
