The anti-Trump media finally thought they had the silver bullet that would take down Donald Trump.

Journalists believed one story would finally separate Trump from his voters.

But a brand new poll just left them speechless.

Journalists endlessly hyped porn star Stormy Daniels interview with 60 Minutes.

Daniels alleged she slept with Trump once in 2006 and was paid hush money by Trump-attorney Michael Cohen in October 2016.

The media believed a porn star claiming to have slept with Trump while he was married to Melania Trump would fracture his base and drive away Evangelical Christians.

But those schemes blew up in the media’s faces.

A new Politico/Morning Consult Poll found voters processed the accusations, but did not care.

Trump’s approval ratings remained unchanged.

Politico reports:

“Voters believe adult-film actress Stormy Daniels.

They believe her claim that she and Donald Trump had sex before he ran for president, and that Trump has been unfaithful to his wife. Only a third think the president is honest. More than half think he has low morals.

But a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll, conducted after Daniels’ appearance on “60 Minutes” this weekend, suggests that despite that litany of sins, the Daniels revelations are unlikely to significantly alter Trump’s political standing.

The president’s approval rating — 42 percent in this week’s poll — remains largely unchanged from 44 percent last week. Fewer voters support beginning impeachment proceedings against Trump than last year. And voters are split on whether Trump should even answer Daniels’ assertions at all.

Taken together, the data suggest Trump’s past behavior with women is already known among voters — and many are willing to overlook it.”

CNN was shocked to find the same thing.

They dispatched a reporter to gather a panel of Evangelical women who supported Trump to watch the interview.

But they saw through the charade and quickly pointed out that the media hype surrounding Daniels interview was just another scheme to try and impeach the President.

Americans should take note that the so-called “mainstream” media’s coverage of Trump is designed to be looked at through this prism.

Journalists at these institutions – as well as their bosses – hate Trump and want to nullify the results of the 2016 election.

So the stories they select to cover – and how they frame them – are always those that they believe will do the most political damage to the President.

But their biased coverage and political campaigns against Donald Trump is why fewer Americans trust the media.

And it’s why Trump’s poll numbers did not move in the wake of the Stormy Daniels interview.
