Bernie Sanders supporters claim to fight for middle-class America, though a new revelation about their leader may bring forth some resentment.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders took months to file his mandatory financial disclosures to the Senate as part of his ethical duties, and still filed them incredibly late, even with an extension.

Ironically however, in those financial disclosures, it was revealed Sanders is one of the multi-millionaires his millennial supporters hate.

Sanders reportedly made nearly $1 million in advance presales for his book, Our Revolution.

Sanders, a self-proclaimed Democratic socialist, made about $800,000 from Macmillan Publishers for his book, per his 2016 annual financial filings.

He also received a hefty amount of royalty payments that year.

The Daily Caller reported:

Sanders, a self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist, got $795,000 in 2016 from Macmillan Publishers for his book, according to 2016 annual financial filings. The senator also received $63,750 in royalty payments that year. In addition to his lavish book deals, the socialist senator brings in over $200,000 a year, which puts him in the top 4 percent of American in terms of income.

Sanders continues to advocate for the “average American”, or so he claims.

His supporters are often young progressives hoping for change in the status quo, but will be shocked to find their leader is the embodiment of the status quo they’re fighting to change.

The Daily Caller reported:

Despite being a mouthpiece for the average American, Sanders is removed from those who so ardently support him. The senator now owns three homes, including a $600,000 four-bedroom home on the shore of Lake Champlain.

Still, the senator’s net worth is well below that of his fellow colleagues in the Senate. Recent estimates rank Sanders in the bottom quartile of senators in terms of annual income, with a reported income just over $430,000.

Sanders is just another out of touch liberal.

While he does not have the criminal history Hillary Clinton does, he still would have dragged America down his socialist path if he had made it through the primaries to the Presidency.

Hopefully, progressives will realize the hypocritical actions of their revered Bernie Sanders and focus their efforts for change elsewhere, to things that may actually help the United States.

Though with liberals, it is doubtful whether they can or not.

What are your thoughts?

Do you think Bernie is just another out of touch political leader who is too concerned with money to be worried about the people?
