Liberal activist James T. Hodgkinson immersed himself in the hateful rhetoric Democrats spew about Republicans.

It drove him over the edge and he fired 50 shots at the Congressional Republican baseball team, wounding five including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise.

Bernie Sanders reaction to his connection to the shooting stunned everyone.

Hodgkinson was a volunteer for Sanders 2016 campaign.

He aped Sanders rhetoric about taxing the wealthy and sticking it to the “one percent”.

So when Sanders found out the shooter was one of his supporters, he took to the Senate floor and denounced the violence.

Boston.com reports him saying:

“I have just been informed that the alleged shooter at the Republican baseball practice this morning is someone who apparently volunteered on my presidential campaign. I am sickened by this despicable act. Let me be as clear as I can be. Violence of any kind is unacceptable in our society and I condemn this action in the strongest possible terms. Real change can only come about through nonviolent action, and anything else runs against our most deeply held American values.

I know I speak for the entire country, when I say my hopes and prayers are that Representative Scalise, congressional staff and the Capitol Police officers who were wounded make a quick and full recovery. I also want to thank the Capitol Police for their heroic actions to prevent further harm.”

While conservatives like Sean Hannity said Sanders was not at fault for the shooting, Sanders supporters have a disturbing history of violence.

One Sander supporter phoned bomb threats to eight Jewish community centers because a relationship had gone sour and it pushed him over the edge.

The Daily Wire reports:

“I have just been informed that the alleged shooter at the Republican baseball practice this morning is someone who apparently volunteered on my presidential campaign. And in Portland, a Bernie Sanders supporter murdered two men on a train when they tried to stop him from harassing Muslims.

The Daily Caller reports:

“Jeremy Joseph Christian, the 35-year-old Portland man who allegedly murdered two men and left another critically wounded while yelling anti-Muslim slurs in a knife attack on Friday, has been painted by the mainstream media as a “right-wing extremist,” but posts on his Facebook page indicate he was a supporter of socialist Senator Bernie Sanders and Green Party candidate Jill Stein.

According to screen captures of his Facebook page obtained by Buzzfeed, Christian was not a Trump supporter, as many media outlets claimed, but was a supporter of the idea of a Sanders/Stein ticket.”

While it’s nice that Sanders condemned Hodgkinson’s assassination attempt, his supporters dwell in a climate of hate that drives them to violence.

Their rage is cultivated by left-wing politicians like Sanders and now they are seeing the ugly consequences.
