Immigration experts are warning Congress, if they don’t act; expect 100 million illegal aliens to flow into the country over the next fifty years.

Kris Kobach is predicting the renewal of Obama’s DACA program will result in a surge of another million illegals.

Congressional Democrats are nervous they will be blamed for shutting down the government if they keep pushing for DACA.

Breitbart reported:

“Under the current U.S. legal immigration system, whereby more than one million legal immigrants are admitted into the country every year, about 100 million foreign-born people are expected to be added to the population over the next 50 years, an immigration expert says.

The U.S. foreign-born population is expected to grow to unprecedented levels in the next 50 years, should Congress and President Trump’s administration not cut current legal immigration levels and reform the process to one that brings in English-proficient and skilled immigrants.

CAMAROTA: Well, the first thing is, if immigration policies aren’t changed, everybody agrees that at least over the next 50 years, immigration will add about 100 million people to the U.S. population, if you just take it out, 50 years.

That’s the arrival of about… 1.5, 1.6 million new legal and illegal immigrants over the next 50 years, that’s sort of what the Census Bureau is projecting. That will add about 100 million, that’s their children, them, plus their children, taking into account the people who go home, plus mortality. [Emphasis added]

So as terms as its impact on American life, that’s probably the first thing, the country becomes much more densely settled, much more populated, and remember, only about 60 counties in the United States, two-thirds, three-fourths of all the people end up in just those 60 counties or so.

So… that’s an enormous impact on the quality of life in an area like Washington, D.C., you know it might add half a million people to the U.S. population or the county of the D.C. metro area even over the next 30 or 40 years. That certainly does mean a lot more congestion and traffic and so forth. [Emphasis added]”

What this means to average citizens is they can expect more traffic congestion, higher taxes, and probably more crime.  And more and more people who cannot speak English.

Elected officials are alarmed that DACA and other amnesty programs could increase the rate of illegal immigration to the US.

Breitbart reported:

“A surge of illegal immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border that could reach up to one million border-crossings is “guaranteed” following a possible amnesty for nearly 800,000 illegal aliens, says Kansas Secretary of State and gubernatorial candidate Kris Kobach.

In an interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Sunday, hosted by Breitbart News Political Editor Matt Boyle and Deputy Political Editor Amanda House, Kobach warned President Trump against negotiating a deal wherein illegal aliens shielded from deportation by the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program are given amnesty, saying such a plan would trigger a massive border surge.

KOBACH: And there will be a surge, it is guaranteed. If there is a DACA amnesty, there will be a massive surge of hundreds of thousands, if not more than a million, new illegal aliens.

HOUSE: Right, we saw that in the ’80’s and the ’90’s, as well, following the 1986 amnesty.

KOBACH: That’s exactly right. And as some Breitbart readers may know, if they’ve seen my piece this week, I put some statistics in there. Yeah, that ’86 amnesty, it ended up being for 2.7 million people which was a larger number than was expected by Congress and by President Reagan’s administration when it happened.

And the reason it’s a larger number is it’s estimated that about 700,000 people came in or applied for the amnesty who were not eligible for it. And so… what happens when you grant amnesty is immediately people flood across the border because they want to falsely claim that they were already here and get the new amnesty or they want to at least get here and wait for the next amnesty.

An amnesty for DACA illegal aliens has the potential to trigger a border surge that could triple the current level of border-crossings, which under President Trump, have ticked back up to Obama-era levels due to border wall construction being stalled in the prototype stage for months.

Why Democrats are so interested in hurting the country to push the DACA/Amnesty program became evident in another report showing that these immigrants vote for Democrats at a much higher rate than any other group.

“Immigrants, particularly Hispanics and Asians, have policy preferences when it comes to the size and scope of government that are more closely aligned with progressives than with conservatives. As a result, survey data show a two-to-one party identification with Democrats over Republicans.

By increasing income inequality and adding to the low-income population (e.g. immigrants and their minor children account for one-fourth of those in poverty and one-third of the uninsured) immigration likely makes all voters more supportive of redistributive policies championed by Democrats to support disadvantaged populations.

There is evidence that immigration may cause more Republican-oriented voters to move away from areas of high immigrant settlement leaving behind a more lopsided Democrat majority.”

But the Democrats are facing a serious short-term election risk if they force a government shut down in order to get these votes.

Breitbart reported:

“Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) hinted that a shutdown of the federal government by Democrats unless they are given an expansive amnesty for potentially millions of illegal aliens would not “work out” well for Democrat Senators and Congressman trying to get re-elected this year.

Following Senate Democrats’ near end to discussions with President Trump’s administration on the issue of immigration, Cotton says some Democrats are now threatening to shut down the federal government unless nearly 800,000 illegal aliens shielded from deportation by the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program are given amnesty.

Towards the end of 2017, Democrats in the House and Senate made similar threats that they would shut down the federal government over an amnesty for illegal aliens.

But the left-wing party quickly backed off the plan when public opinion polls showed Americans were increasingly opposed to a shutdown over a year-end amnesty that would further suppress the wages of American workers.

For example, in December 2017, a Morning Consult/POLITICO poll revealed how unpopular a plan to shut down the federal government over amnesty was, even among Democrat voters who are the most sympathetic to the illegal alien population”

While liberal Democrats want 100 million new voters for their party, the question is can they afford the short-term fall out in this year’s elections?  Immigration specialists expect the influx to take 50 years, but Democrats have elections in eight months.
